Recently, we learned from official sources that Audi plans to launch three blockbuster models in 2026, including the all-new generation Audi Q7 (Parameters | Inquiry), the all-new generation Audi Q9, and a brand-new entry-level pure electric vehicle. According to previous information, the entry-level pure electric model is expected to be named Audi Q2 e-tron or Audi A2 e-tron, and it will be built on the MEB+ platform.
Previously, we separately reported spy photos of the test models of the all-new Audi SQ7 and SQ9, which will also preview the exteriors of the all-new Q7 and all-new Q9. The new models will adopt an all-new family-style design language, with a wide honeycomb-patterned front grille on the front face, paired with split-type light clusters on both sides. Additionally, it is worth noting that both new models will be built on the PPC platform and are expected to offer a variety of powertrain options, including gasoline, diesel, mild hybrid, and plug-in hybrid.
Spy photos of the other entry-level pure electric vehicle were also exposed earlier. The front face of this vehicle also inherits Audi's latest family-style design, while its side profile pays tribute to the Audi A2 from the 2000s. It features a very smooth roof line and adopts a fastback-style rear design, giving it a highly dynamic appearance. It is reported that the new vehicle will be built on the MEB+ platform. Referring to the ID.Polo (which is also based on the same platform), the new model is expected to have an electric motor with a maximum power of 166 kW, a driving range of 450 km, and an acceleration time of 0-100 km/h in less than 7 seconds. We will continue to follow up for more information about the new vehicle.
