Brand-New All-Electric Compact SUV to Debut at Brussels Motor Show on January 9th: Kia EV2 Teaser Images Released

Recently, we learned from official sources that the teaser images of the Kia EV2 have been released, and the new vehicle will make its global debut at the Brussels Motor Show on January 9th. Reportedly positioned as an all-electric compact SUV, it is exclusively tailored for the European market.

The vehicle will be built on the E-GMP platform and is expected to offer two battery pack options: 40kWh and 58kWh. Its estimated starting price is around €30,000, equivalent to approximately RMB 251,000. Meanwhile, Kia will also unveil the high-performance GT versions of the EV3, EV4, and EV5.

In terms of exterior design, the front of the new model adopts the brand’s latest Opposites United design language. The dual-strip LED daytime running lights boast high recognition when illuminated. The vehicle features a relatively boxy body shape, which maximizes the interior passenger space. Additionally, the new car will be equipped with five-spoke semi-enclosed wheels, and all body details are finished in black, creating a floating roof effect. The taillights are cleverly integrated with the rear wheel arches, which not only lowers the visual center of gravity but also widens the overall visual stance.

For the powertrain, the vehicle will be constructed on the E-GMP platform with a 400V architecture. It is expected to deliver a pure electric driving range of over 483km and will come with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) functions.
