Leveraging material upgrades and end-to-end collaborative optimization of its second-generation blade battery, Datang has achieved unprecedented charging efficiency. The test data released at the launch event was astonishing: under normal temperature conditions, the battery charges from 10% to 70% in just 5 minutes, and to 97% in only 9 minutes, truly achieving a rapid charging experience of "fully charged in 5 minutes, fully charged in 9 minutes." This means that users can complete most of their charging in the short time it takes to grab a coffee or make a phone call at a service area, completely eliminating charging anxiety during long journeys and bringing the user experience of pure electric vehicles to par with or even surpass that of gasoline vehicles.
Even more noteworthy is that Datang's flash charging technology is not just about speed improvement, but also considers low-temperature adaptability and all-scenario practicality, which was one of the key advantages highlighted at the launch event. Previously, pure electric vehicles experienced a significant drop in charging speed in low-temperature environments, sometimes even failing to charge altogether. However, the BYD Datang's full-temperature-range intelligent thermal management system completely breaks down this barrier. Data released at the press conference showed that in Harbin's extremely cold environment of -20°C, Datang electric vehicles could charge from 20% to 97% in less than 12 minutes; even in ultra-low temperatures of -30°C, the charging time was only 3 minutes longer than at room temperature, enabling pure electric vehicles to truly achieve "fearless of severe cold, instant charging anytime," completely breaking geographical limitations and adapting to various climate scenarios across the country.
Datang's fast charging advantage is inseparable from the robust support of its second-generation blade battery and the synergy of its entire technological chain. The press conference explained that the second-generation blade battery, through material upgrades of lithium manganese iron phosphate composite cathode + silicon-carbon anode, increased the voltage platform from 3.2V to 3.8V, significantly reducing the cell's internal resistance. This achieved a breakthrough in fast charging speed while retaining the ultimate safety and long lifespan advantages of lithium iron phosphate. Meanwhile, the Datang features a 1000V high-voltage architecture, coupled with BYD's newly developed megawatt flash charging pile, achieving a single-gun charging power of up to 1500kW. This forms a complete "battery-architecture-charging pile" optimization, enabling low-loss high-speed charging in all scenarios, which is the key to its ultra-fast flash charging capability. Even more reassuring is that this battery has passed the new national standard thermal runaway test (4 times the standard), and showed no fire or smoke during flash charging, needle penetration, and bottom impact tests, further enhancing its safety performance.

In terms of range, thanks to the improved energy density of the second-generation blade battery (more than 5% higher than the first generation), the Datang boasts a pure electric range of up to 950 kilometers, becoming the world's longest-range D+ class pure electric SUV. A single charge can cover a week's worth of daily commutes, eliminating the need for frequent refueling on long trips. Combined with ultra-fast flash charging, it completely eliminates range anxiety and refueling concerns.
In terms of power and handling, the Datang is equipped with the DM-i system, featuring a 300kW maximum motor that delivers strong and smooth power output. It also boasts the million-level Yunlian-A air suspension, a first for the BYD Dynasty Network, supporting intelligent vehicle height adjustment.
