Chery has officially unveiled the official images of the Chery Tiggo 7L. Positioned as a compact SUV, the new model will be a new addition to the Tiggo 7 family and is scheduled to launch in Q1 2026.
Back in 2024, Chery released a plan to expand the Tiggo family, which will include multiple new models under the Tiggo 5, Tiggo 7, Tiggo 8, and Tiggo 9 series. The Tiggo 7L is one of these planned models, and it will be a pure gasoline-powered vehicle.
Li Xueyong, Executive Vice President of Chery Automobile Co., Ltd., previously stated that the Tiggo family will continue to maintain four series: 5, 7, 8, and 9.
- Tiggo 5: Trendsetter positioning
- Tiggo 7: Value benchmark with strong cost-performance ratio
- Tiggo 8: Core volume model with outstanding strength
- Tiggo 9: Flagship model of the family
The Tiggo 7L inherits Chery’s Natural Power Aesthetics design language, while retaining a bold large-mouth grille that covers the entire front fascia for a strong 3D effect. The grille is integrated with the headlights; each headlight assembly features two LED units, with boomerang-style daytime running lights and large air intakes on both sides.
At the rear, the vehicle boasts all-new wavy taillights connected by a black decorative strip, delivering high recognizability.
Inside, the new car features an amber brown interior with a wrap-around cockpit and extensive soft-touch materials. It is equipped with a large floating central control screen, a wireless charging pad, and physical buttons. The 256-color rhythm ambient light combines light changes with music beats.
Official powertrain specs have not been released yet.
For reference, the Tiggo 7 PLUS is powered by a 1.6T turbocharged engine with:
- Maximum power: 197 HP / 145 kW
- Peak torque: 290 N·m
