FANGCHENG BAO 8: The Perfect Fusion of Off-Road Prowess and Intelligent Technology

Fangcheng Bao 8, as the flagship mid-to-large-sized intelligent off-road SUV under BYD's Fangcheng Bao brand, features a robust exterior crafted with the "Future Starship Aesthetics" design language. Its boxy silhouette, paired with an energy shield grille and an external spare tire, exudes a sense of power and technological sophistication. With a body size of 5195×1994×1905mm and a wheelbase of 2920mm, it offers flexible 6/7-seat layouts to cater to diverse needs for family outings and outdoor adventures.

In terms of power, the Bao 8 is equipped with BYD's DMO Super Hybrid Platform, integrating a 2.0T engine with dual electric motors to form a plug-in hybrid system. It delivers a combined power output of 550kW and a peak torque of 760N·m, achieving a 0-100km/h acceleration time of just 4.8 seconds. The pure electric range stands at 100km, while the combined range reaches an impressive 1200km, eliminating range anxiety entirely. The non-load-bearing body, combined with front and rear double-wishbone independent suspensions and a full-function Yun-P intelligent hydraulic system, supports a 140mm suspension travel adjustment range, a minimum ground clearance of 220mm, and a wading depth of up to 900mm. Coupled with three differential locks and a torque distribution system, it effortlessly tackles extreme terrains such as gravel slopes and steep inclines.

At the forefront of intelligent technology, the Bao 8 is the first in the world to feature Huawei's ADS 3.0 intelligent driving system, equipped with lidar, binocular cameras, and infrared night vision systems, enabling a detection range of over 300 meters. It supports highway/urban NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) and parking valet functions. Inside, a "quad-screen联动 (quad-screen linkage)" design is adopted, featuring a 12.3-inch full-LCD instrument cluster, a 17.3-inch floating central control screen, a passenger entertainment screen, and dual rear screens, creating an immersive interactive experience. It is also the world's first vehicle to support both iOS and HarmonyOS dual-system UWB car keys, achieving centimeter-level positioning accuracy.
