On October 21st, during the CCTV program Dialogue, Feng Xingya from GAC Group and Jin Yuzhi from Huawei jointly revealed that the first product of the Qijing brand is scheduled to be officially launched in mid-2026. Positioned as young, tech-savvy, and sporty, the model will incorporate the intelligent DNA of Huawei Kunlun. Their cooperation not only achieves in-depth integration at the product level but also introduces Huawei's IPD (Integrated Product Development) and IPMS (Integrated Product Marketing & Sales) models into organizational processes and marketing systems. This aims to build a new "full-stack empowerment and end-to-end support" cooperation paradigm, providing a replicable example for the intelligent transformation of China's automotive industry.
According to official sources, nearly 100 designers have been invested in the development of Qijing's first model by both parties. Experts from Huawei's Milan Institute of Aesthetics participated in the styling design throughout the process. After 8 months and dozens of design reviews, the final styling was unanimously approved by the senior management of both companies. Codenamed F03 internally, this model is positioned as a mid-to-large sedan. The Qijing brand will focus on the high-end market above 300,000 yuan, offering both pure electric and extended-range powertrain options, while covering both SUV and sedan product lines. From the official teaser images released earlier, the vehicle features an elongated front end, slightly raised character lines, and smooth hood edge lines, which are expected to deliver an impressive sporty look. Additionally, all models under the Qijing brand will be equipped with Huawei Kunlun intelligent solutions and adopt Huawei's IPD and IPMS processes.
To recap briefly, at the end of 2024, GAC and Huawei signed an agreement to deepen their cooperation. In January 2025, the Huawei and Qijing teams had already been working together in the same office for over half a year, committed to launching a series of new intelligent vehicle products. All products are fully managed by Huawei, developed from scratch as high-end intelligent new energy vehicles. While the scale of Huawei's on-site team has not been disclosed, it has been confirmed that professionals from Huawei's product, marketing, finance, and other departments have been stationed to work in sync with the GAC team, deeply participating in the entire chain of product definition, development, and marketing. This "embedded collaboration" breaks the conventional cooperation model where "technology providers" and "manufacturers" handle their respective segments independently, establishing better synergy from the perspective of system integration.
GAC, in collaboration with Huawei, leverages AI technology to enhance the intelligent level of automotive manufacturing. By building digital infrastructure and intelligent platforms, GAC has achieved automation and efficiency improvements in R&D, production, supply chain, and other links. Meanwhile, GAC independently masters core processes such as stamping, welding, painting, final assembly, as well as engine, motor, and battery manufacturing, constructing a full-industry-chain manufacturing system. This system is supported by 17 body structure upgrades and multiple safety technologies.
In terms of application data, as of August 2025, the installation volume of Huawei Kunlun intelligent driving systems has exceeded 1 million units. Users have accumulated a total of 4.65 billion kilometers of assisted driving mileage, 280 million assisted parking uses, and 2.71 million potential collisions avoided.
