Hyundai IONIQ 3 to Make Global Debut in April 2026, Set to Retain Concept Car Design

We have learned that the Hyundai IONIQ 3 is scheduled for its global debut in April 2026. Its concept version, the Concept THREE, previously made its first appearance at the 2025 Munich Motor Show. As reported, the all-new model will be built on the E-GMP platform with a 400V architecture and positioned as a pure electric compact SUV. In addition, Hyundai is expected to launch a high-performance IONIQ 3 N variant, which, however, may not hit the market until 2027.

Based on the Concept THREE and previously exposed spy shots of the production version, the Hyundai IONIQ 3 will still feature highly dynamic body lines. The front fascia adopts a closed grille design, flanked by two slim split-type headlamps on the upper part, with a through-type trim strip in the center that is expected to be integrated with LED light sources for enhanced recognition. The rear of the vehicle boasts a fastback design and is fitted with a sleek ducktail spoiler to boost sportiness. The taillights are equally slim and come with a central through-type trim strip, creating a cohesive design with the front end.

In terms of powertrain, the all-new model is built on the E-GMP platform with a 400V architecture. It is expected to be equipped with a 150kW single motor, paired with power batteries with capacities of 58kWh and 81.4kWh respectively, delivering a maximum driving range of up to 644km.
