November Vehicle Sales Ranking: Fuel-Powered Cars Make a Comeback! Two Models Surpass 30,000 Units in Sales—More Popular Than Xiaomi YU7?

The November vehicle sales ranking has been released. Last week, we already summarized the overall sales ranking, sedan ranking, SUV ranking, and MPV ranking (click to review). Today, we will focus on segmented segments to see which models make it to the top 10 in the four categories: joint-venture fuel-powered, joint-venture new energy, domestic fuel-powered, and domestic new energy vehicles.

In the fuel-powered vehicle market, two models performed particularly strongly, with monthly sales exceeding 30,000 units each. One of them even outsold the Xiaomi YU7 (Specs | Inquiry). In the new energy vehicle market, 4 models achieved monthly sales of 30,000 units, among which the Xiaomi YU7 was included. Some models in the joint-venture new energy segment also surpassed 10,000 units in sales. Next, let’s take a look at the four rankings in this issue.

1. Joint-Venture Fuel-Powered Vehicles: Top 10 Sales Ranking

The top 10 are still well-known mainstream models among consumers. Compact cars and midsize cars occupy most of the spots, with only 3 SUVs making the list. The Audi A6L is the only luxury brand model to be included.

  • Ranking Changes in November: Many models moved up in the rankings. The Passat jumped 4 places, the Magotan advanced 1 place, the Audi A6L rose significantly by 8 places, and the Corolla Cross climbed 3 places.
  • Brand Performance: Volkswagen became the absolute winner, with 5 models on the list, followed by Toyota with 3 models.
  • End-of-Year Promotions & Model Upgrades:
    • As the end of the year approaches, many joint-venture models have increased their discount efforts. For example, the Audi A6L, which will undergo a facelift in 2026, currently offers a terminal discount of over 120,000 yuan, directly driving up its sales.
    • The Dongfeng Nissan Sylphy saw a significant sales growth in November, rising from 33,903 units in October to 38,434 units. This year’s new Sylphy has upgraded its intelligent infotainment system and ergonomic seats, with a starting price of only 75,800 yuan—indeed a great temptation. The Sylphy is also set to release its facelifted model in 2026.
    • The Sagitar (ranking 2nd) and the Passat (ranking 3rd) also achieved sales growth. The Passat even jumped from 7th place in October to 3rd place. The facelifted Sagitar has a reduced starting price of 114,900 yuan and has undergone all-round upgrades in intelligence (high-speed navigation assistance, iFlytek voice control, etc.), vehicle size (length increased to 4,812mm), and design, regaining its former status as a benchmark model. The new Passat has further enhanced its competitiveness with the addition of high-speed NOA (Navigation on Autopilot) function, with a fixed starting price of only 169,900 yuan.

Overall, compared with the past, joint-venture fuel-powered vehicles have shown stronger competitiveness in terms of product configuration and pricing.

2. Joint-Venture New Energy Vehicles: Market Dynamics

The joint-venture new energy vehicle market is showing vigorous vitality. China-exclusive customized models have delivered outstanding sales performance and firmly occupy the core positions in the top 10 list. Intelligent new energy models from joint-venture brands have been accepted by consumers, and the appeal of joint-venture brands remains strong.

  • Ranking Changes vs. October: Many models achieved significant promotions. The Volvo XC70 moved up 3 places, the Buick Zhijing L7 jumped 7 places, the Toyota bZ3 rose sharply by 10 places, and both the Audi E5 Sportback and BMW i3 climbed 2 places.
  • Market Scale Status: However, the overall sales of joint-venture new energy vehicles have not yet formed a scale effect, and only a few models have achieved good sales performance.
  • Representative Model: GAC Toyota Bozhi 3X: It is a successful example in this segment. Its sales in November exceeded 10,000 units again, remaining the same as in October. This compact SUV, developed under the leadership of Toyota China’s team, has a starting price of only 109,800 yuan. Its product highlights include a lidar, Momenta advanced driving assistance system, intelligent infotainment system, and a maximum CLTC pure electric range of 610km, offering excellent overall cost-effectiveness.
