The all-new EV Smart #2 is scheduled to make its debut at the end of 2026.

Currently, the smart engineering team is testing the existing Smart Fortwo body. The new car is built on its new ECA (Electric Compact Architecture) platform, featuring a two-door, two-seat layout, and is planned to debut at the end of 2026.

Based on current spy photos, the smart #2 is expected to retain the classic small car characteristics of the fortwo. Besides retaining its iconic small car dimensions, the new car will also inherit the fortwo's core genes, including its two-door, two-seat layout, rear-wheel drive dynamics, and classic four-wheel-drive stance. The Mercedes-Benz design team will design the smart #2 and will debut with a completely new interior and exterior design. It is also expected to use a battery pack with a capacity of approximately 30kWh.

Recently, the smart Elf #6 EHD was submitted for approval by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It is expected to be positioned as a mid-size sedan with a sporty overall appearance and a 1.5T plug-in hybrid system. With the future launch of the smart Elf #2 model, the smart brand's product matrix will be further enriched, and it will form a new lineup of products for the brand together with the smart #1, #3, #5, and #6.
