The facelifted Hyundai Santa Fe to adopt range-extender powertrain – Spy shots exposed with interior revamps

Recently, we obtained a set of spy shots of the facelifted Hyundai Santa Fe from relevant channels. According to the photographer, the test vehicle bears the badge "MX5a EREV", where "MX5" denotes the fifth-generation Santa Fe, "a" stands for the North American version, and "EREV" indicates that the model is equipped with a range-extender powertrain.

Currently, the new model is still covered with heavy camouflage wrap, yet its boxy silhouette is expected to be retained with only minor exterior revisions planned. In addition, a peek through the car windows reveals that the interior will feature a floating large-size central control screen, replacing the current dual-screen integrated design.

A range-extender variant will be added to the powertrain lineup to expand options for consumers, though specific powertrain specifications have not been disclosed yet.
