Audi Q4: Redefining Compact EV Excellence with Space, Power, and Tech

The Audi Q4 stands as a distinguished representative of Audi's compact SUV lineup, seamlessly integrating technology, performance, and spatial aesthetics. Built on the MEB electric platform, it measures 4,588mm in length, 1,865mm in width, and 1,626mm in height, with a 2,765mm wheelbase. Its short front overhang design maximizes cabin space, offering a rear seat cushion 32mm longer than the Tesla Model Y and providing 87% thigh support for passengers up to 1.78m tall. Powertrain options include a single-motor rear-wheel drive (RWD) variant delivering 150kW (204hp) and a 0–100km/h acceleration of 8.8 seconds, or a dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) version with 230kW combined output and a 5.4–6.8-second sprint time. Equipped with electric quattro AWD and adaptive dampers supporting Comfort/Auto/Dynamic modes, it balances agility and stability.

Powered by an 84.8 kWh CATL NCM812 lithium-ion battery, the Q4 achieves up to 605km CLTC range, maintaining a 78% winter range retention at -10°C, 9 percentage points higher than the BMW iX3. Design-wise, it adopts Audi’s e-tron family DNA, featuring a 0.618 golden wheelbase-to-length ratio for a 5.2m turning circle. Safety highlights include AR-HUD, a full-domain heat pump (heating 2.7 minutes faster than rivals in extreme cold), six airbags, and pre-tensioning seatbelts. The battery pack’s “sandwich” structure withstands 1.2-ton impacts, while the A-pillar boasts 1,500MPa compressive strength.

Tech features encompass an 11.6-inch MMI touchscreen, 30x30 ambient lighting combinations, ACC adaptive cruise control, and Audi Pre Sense. Priced at 289,900–367,100 RMB (2024 models), the Q4 sets benchmarks in the compact EV SUV segment with its spatial intelligence, dynamic prowess, and technological sophistication.
