On April 11th, the 2025 facelifted (updated) version of T-ROC (known as Tange in the Chinese market) by FAW-Volkswagen was launched, with three trim models available. The manufacturer's suggested retail prices of the new models remain unchanged, and the adjustments are mainly made to the configurations.
It is anticipated that the new T-ROC will retain the exterior styling of the existing models, embodying the Volkswagen family design language. It is characterized by a chrome strip running across the center, contributing to its youthful and athletic appearance.
The side profile of the car boasts dynamic curves, resulting in a visually compact appearance. The rear features a through-style tail light, contributing to its rounded and full-bodied look. Regarding its dimensions, the current T-ROC measures 4,336 mm in length, 1,819 mm in width, and 1,592 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,680 mm, classifying it as a compact SUV.
Entering the interior, the current T-ROC features a three-spoke steering wheel, a floating center console screen, and a digital instrument cluster. It is expected that the new T-ROC will maintain these design characteristics.
It should be noted that the main configuration adjustment for this update is that the spare tire will be removed from all trim levels of the new T-ROC. In addition, compared to its 2025 counterpart, the 280TSI DSG Shiguang Edition has eliminated the chrome-plated door handles and reduced the audio system from six speakers to four. Both the 300TSI DSG Chenguang Edition and the 300TSI DSG Xingguang Edition, when compared to their older versions, have removed the air purification feature.
In terms of powertrain, the new T-ROC will continue to offer two optional power systems: a 1.4T engine and a 1.5T engine. Specifically, the 1.4T engine delivers a maximum power output of 110 kilowatts and a maximum torque of 250 Newton-meters, while the 1.5T engine boasts a maximum power of 118 kilowatts and the same maximum torque of 250 Newton-meters. Both engines are paired with a 7-speed dry dual-clutch transmission.
