Avatr is set to launch 6-seater SUVs and MPVs built on its next-generation platform in 2026, with cost reduction as a key focus

Recently, according to media reports, starting from 2026, Avatr's next-generation models will be developed based on the Changan SDA 2.0 platform. The new platform will further enhance cost-reduction capabilities and feature more advanced hardware. Additionally, the new platform will enable resource sharing among the three brands—Deepal, Qiyuan, and Avatr—eliminating the current issue of low component commonality and high costs.

The first model to be built by Avatr on the SDA 2.0 platform will be a large six-seater new energy SUV with the code name G618, which is scheduled for mass production in June 2026. In addition, there will be a new energy MPV with the code name D706. These two models will serve as flagship products for Avatr's next-generation lineup. Subsequently, Avatr will also accelerate its pace of introducing new products.

However, even with the introduction of the new platform, Avatr's collaboration with Huawei remains robust. The next-generation models will continue to utilize Huawei's intelligent driving technology. In terms of the intelligent cockpit, Avatr will also introduce its self-developed intelligent cockpit solutions in addition to partnering with Huawei.

With the more affordable Avatr 07, Avatr has already achieved monthly sales exceeding 10,000 units, with 10,475 units sold in March. After the launch of the Avatr 06 this year, it is expected to further boost sales. To achieve further sales breakthroughs in the future, more cost-effective models will still be necessary. The new vehicles based on the SDA 2.0 platform will shoulder this responsibility, aiming to break through the price barriers of products through cost reduction.
