Preview the All-New Peugeot 208: Peugeot Polygon Concept Car to Debut in November, Featuring New Platform & New Technologies

Recently, we learned that the Peugeot Polygon concept car is set to make its debut in November, and this model is also regarded as a preview of the all-new generation Peugeot 208. It is reported that the all-new Peugeot 208 will be the first model produced on the STLA Small platform. It will adopt the latest exterior design, i-Cockpit design, and will be equipped with pure electric drive. Meanwhile, fuel-powered and hybrid versions will continue to be produced on the e-CMP platform, with the new car planned to be officially launched in 2026.

It is speculated that the Polygon concept car will have a very aggressive exterior design, which may follow the style of the Inception concept car. The Inception concept car made its first debut at the 2023 CES (Consumer Electronics Show) and is also seen as the future electrification design direction of the Peugeot brand. However, it is expected that the mass-produced version of the all-new 208 will be more conventional, so as to form consistency with models such as the Peugeot 308 and 3008.

In addition, the interior of the Polygon concept car will also draw heavily on the design of the Inception concept car, and it is regarded as the all-new generation i-Cockpit design. The most prominent feature of this cockpit is the 21-inch floating screen and linear steering system. Therefore, it will adopt a square steering wheel similar to that of a formula racing car, and it is highly likely that these designs will be applied to the all-new 208.

Regarding the new car's power system, the current-generation 208 offers hybrid and pure electric versions. Among them, the pure electric model is equipped with a 52kWh battery, providing a pure electric range of 400km. The new STLA Small platform can be adapted to different batteries ranging from 37kWh to 82kWh. It is expected that the battery size of the new-generation 208 will be increased, and its range performance will be improved. We will continue to pay attention to and report more information about the new car.
