The new AITO M7 Ultra, the updated version of the AITO M7, has drawn a lot of attention: many say it now looks and feels even more like the AITO M9. After an in-depth test drive, we take a closer look at whether this upgrade still keeps it “far ahead” in its class.
In terms of market positioning and sales performance, the M7 has always been a crucial model for the AITO brand. So this latest update for the new AITO M7 is undoubtedly significant, bringing comprehensive improvements in both design and technology.
Starting with exterior upgrades, the new AITO M7 features a refined front fascia that is cleaner and more minimalist. The traditional intake grille from the previous model has been removed, giving the front a more futuristic look. The wheel design has also been updated, enhancing the overall premium feel.
In terms of color options, the new M7 adds the same blue exterior shade and orange interior scheme as the AITO M9. With these visual updates, the new M7 really gives off a “baby M9” vibe at first glance.
Inside the cabin, the upgrades continue. The new AITO M7 now comes equipped with HUAWEI SOUND audio system, another feature shared with the M9, resulting in a noticeable improvement in sound quality.
For ride comfort, the NAPPA leather used throughout the seats has been further optimized. The seats deliver better support and wrapping, greatly enhancing overall comfort for both driver and passengers.
In our opinion, the most important upgrades lie in the dynamic performance.
First, the new AITO M7 is equipped with a CDC variable damping suspension, which offers three modes: Firm, Normal, and Comfort. This allows the car to adapt to both daily commuting and more spirited driving, satisfying different driving preferences.
What’s more, the CDC suspension works together with the ADS 2.0 system, adding a road preview function. Before encountering curves, potholes, speed bumps, or other road conditions, the suspension prepares in advance, noticeably improving the overall driving experience.
The new AITO M7 is also equipped with a 192-line LiDAR, the same high-performance sensor found on the AITO M9, bringing major upgrades to its intelligent driving capabilities. We conducted real-world tests in Chongqing, and the footage is shown in our video.
Overall, the new AITO M7 Ultra is packed with meaningful upgrades that strongly elevate the driving and riding experience. Detailed impressions from our test drive are fully covered in the video.
