The 2026 Beijing International Auto Show has grandly kicked off. Among this grand automotive event, is there a newly launched flagship model that stands out and draws widespread attention? The answer is definitely yes. According to CAR Luli, BYD Dynasty Network has unveiled its first full-size fast-charging flagship SUV, the all-new Tang EV. The new model made its highly anticipated debut at the auto show and opened pre-sales simultaneously. Its pre-price ranges from 250,000 to 320,000 yuan, and it is scheduled for official launch in the first half of this year.

As the brand-new top flagship of BYD’s Dynasty series, the BYD Tang EV significantly lowers the entry threshold for full-size pure electric SUVs to an approachable price range, enabling consumers to enjoy flagship-level travel experience and transcendent premium comfort. The vehicle delivers outstanding performance in interior space, fully demonstrating sincere product strength. Its body dimensions are 5263mm in length, 1999mm in width and 1790mm in height, with an ultra-long wheelbase of 3130mm. With a standard full-size SUV body profile, it builds a solid foundation for an ultra-spacious interior cabin.

The interior adopts a practical 2+2+3 seven-seat layout, which is completely different from the impractical pseudo seven-seat design commonly seen in most models on the market. The second row is equipped with independent zero-gravity aviation seats, while the third row offers sufficient headroom and legroom for adult passengers. Whether it is family travel with multiple children or high-end business reception needs, this vehicle can handle various scenarios with ease, realizing multi-functional practicality for all travel demands.

In terms of core three-electric technology, which is BYD’s core competitive advantage, the Tang EV is built on BYD’s advanced Super e-Platform. It is equipped with a full-range 1000V high-voltage architecture and matched with the second-generation Blade Battery. The maximum pure electric cruising range reaches 950 kilometers, ranking among the top in the global pure electric SUV segment.

Most importantly, it thoroughly solves the common pain point of new energy vehicles that long battery life always comes with slow charging speed. The new model is equipped with BYD’s super fast charging technology, with a peak charging power of up to 1000kW. It can replenish hundreds of kilometers of cruising range in just five minutes. Even in extreme cold environments of minus 30 degrees Celsius, its charging time is only three minutes longer than that at normal temperature, bringing refueling efficiency comparable to traditional fuel vehicles.

In terms of driving control, the BYD Tang EV breaks the stereotype that large vehicles are inevitably bulky and clumsy. The four-wheel drive version can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in only 3.9 seconds, delivering powerful performance comparable to million-dollar luxury performance vehicles. In addition, it is the first model in the Dynasty series to be fitted with a rear-wheel steering system, achieving a minimum turning radius of 5.2 meters. Thanks to this configuration, this large full-size SUV boasts better flexibility than many mid-size SUVs in daily driving.

It is also equipped with the Yunlian-A dual-chamber air suspension with road preview adjustment function. The system can actively adjust the suspension hardness in real time according to different road conditions. No matter driving on bumpy unpaved roads or taking sharp turns at high speeds, it can maintain stable body posture and bring a comfortable and stable riding experience for all passengers.

When it comes to luxury configurations and intelligent travel experience, the Tang EV is fully equipped with transcendent premium features. The cabin is fitted with dual zero-gravity seats for the front row, a co-pilot entertainment screen and a 17.3-inch ceiling-mounted screen for the second row. Paired with a 27-speaker Devialet audio system, it also comes with a vehicle-mounted refrigerator and foldable small tables for the second row. The full-seat anti-motion sickness mode further optimizes travel comfort with thoughtful humanized details. In terms of intelligent driving, it adopts the Eye of God high-level intelligent driving system, supporting full-scene assisted driving on urban roads and highways, effectively reducing driving fatigue during long-distance trips and upgrading overall travel safety and convenience.
