Official images of the IM LS9 HYPER have recently been released. As the tri-motor variant of the IM LS9, this new model comes equipped with the industry’s first full-by-wire four-wheel steering system and a tri-motor vector four-wheel drive, set to take the position as the new flagship of the IM 9 Series.
The exterior of the new car is identical to the current IM LS9, with an exclusive HYPER badge featured only on the rear; the same English emblem also adorns the D-pillar of the body. The exterior is accented with extensive chrome trim and disc-style wheels, striking an elegant note. In terms of dimensions, the new car has a length of 5279mm, width of 2000mm and height of 1806mm, with a wheelbase of 3160mm. For the powertrain, the IM LS9 HYPER still adopts an extended-range system, paired with a 1.5T range extender that delivers a maximum power of 114kW. It is also mated to a front-single & rear-dual tri-motor four-wheel drive system, where the drive motors boast a peak power of 160kW for the front one and 195kW+195kW for the two rear ones. The new car is fitted with a 65.9kWh ternary lithium battery pack, offering a pure electric driving range of 308 kilometers under the WLTC test cycle.
