Purchase verdict: Buy the AION i60 210 km EREV Standard when most daily travel can be electric but the route still needs a petrol-backed range reserve. This listing is the range-extender 210 Standard, not one of the i60 530 or 650 battery-electric versions. AION's China-market table lists 210 km CLTC electric range, 160 km WLTC electric range and 1,240 km CLTC combined range; compare like with like before choosing it.
First decision: confirm the 210 Standard powertrain
The 210 Standard combines a traction battery, electric drive and a 1.5 L range extender. Its buying logic differs from a 530 or 650 BEV: it can reduce dependence on public charging during longer travel, but adds a fuel system, emissions equipment and engine maintenance. Choose it over the BEV variants only when that operational flexibility is worth the extra mechanical system in your destination.
| Decision point | i60 210 Standard EREV | i60 530/650 BEV |
|---|---|---|
| Routine energy | Charge for daily electric use; petrol supports longer travel | Electric charging only |
| Long-route dependency | Fuel network plus charging | Charging network and dwell time |
| Systems to inspect | Battery, charging, motor, engine, fuel and emissions | Battery, charging, motor and thermal system |
| Best reason to choose | Uncertain charging on occasional long routes | Maximum mechanical simplicity and zero tailpipe operation |

Three range figures answer three different questions
Use 210 km CLTC only as the China-cycle electric headline. The 160 km WLTC figure is the more conservative official electric-cycle reference, but it is still not a route guarantee. The 1,240 km CLTC combined figure includes operation with the range extender and is not all-electric range. For an importer, the useful decision is whether the verified practical electric distance covers daily work and whether local fuel, service and emissions rules support the remaining journeys.
Daily charging available
The 210 Standard can cover many commutes electrically when the conservative route estimate fits and the vehicle is charged regularly. Confirm overnight charging before ordering.
Intercity travel with uneven charging
The range extender can preserve mobility where charging gaps are common. Compare fuel quality, engine service, legal emissions testing and total running cost with a conventional hybrid or petrol SUV.
Fleet or taxi duty
Approve only after logging daily and peak kilometres, charging dwell time, passenger load and workshop support. A large combined-range number does not replace a route and downtime calculation.
EREV-specific export checks
- Decode the VIN and match the Chinese trim to 210 Standard; reject documents that substitute a 530 or 650 BEV specification.
- Photograph and test AC/DC charge ports, then match connector and protocol to the destination network.
- Scan battery, motor, charging, isolation, range-extender and emissions control modules for current, pending and historical faults.
- Perform cold start, warm idle and transition tests; record vibration, noise, smoke, cooling behaviour and warning lamps.
- Inspect battery casing, fuel system, exhaust, underbody and any collision or flood repair evidence.
- Confirm fuel grade, lubricant and filter availability, diagnostic access and AION parts support locally.
- Verify emissions, steering side, model year, safety certification and registration with destination authorities.
- Confirm interface language, maps, app, eSIM, OTA services and account transfer for use outside China.
Official source, current-unit rule
Specifications are from AION's official China-market i60 model and configuration pages, reviewed 9 September 2026. Test-cycle values and catalogue equipment are not a condition report. The purchase contract should use the actual VIN, build date, port photographs, diagnostic evidence and agreed inspection record.
Questions before importing the AION i60 210 EREV
Is the i60 210 Standard a battery EV?
No. It is the range-extender version. The i60 catalogue also includes 530 and 650 battery-electric variants, so insist that every quotation, photo, VIN record and specification identifies the 210 Standard correctly.
Can I expect 210 km of electric driving?
Do not treat it as guaranteed. AION states 210 km CLTC and 160 km WLTC electric range. Temperature, speed, HVAC, elevation, payload and battery condition change the route result. Plan with the conservative figure and a reserve.
Does 1,240 km mean electric range?
No. It is AION's CLTC combined-range figure for battery plus range-extender operation. Compare it with fuel-tank, consumption and test-cycle context, not with a BEV's electric-only range.
Who should choose a 530 or 650 BEV instead?
Choose the BEV when dependable charging covers every routine route and you value fewer fuel-system service items. Choose 210 EREV when occasional charging gaps justify petrol-backed flexibility and local support is proven.
