The BYD Da Tang EV 950KM RWD is the range-first choice in the new Da Tang family, not the performance-first choice. BYD officially markets up to 950 km of pure-electric range, a seven-seat full-size cabin, second-generation Blade Battery flash charging and rear-wheel steering for the Da Tang EV family. The 950 figure is CLTC, however, and BYD's China flash-charging experience depends on compatible high-power infrastructure. For export, the correct purchase is conditional: choose it only when the VIN-level specification, charging connector, local registration and after-sales plan are all proven.
The official Da Tang page is unusually rich in headline data. The buyer's job is to keep each claim attached to its test cycle, variant and infrastructure requirement.

Da Tang is a new full-size China-market model. It should not be illustrated or inspected as if it were the older export-market BYD Tang that carries a 530 km WLTP figure in some countries.

No. The new Da Tang is a larger, newer China-market full-size flagship. BYD's existing global Tang page describes a different seven-seat AWD EV with 108.8 kWh and up to 530 km in its stated market context. Do not mix specifications or parts.
Treat Ultra as the seller's English trim wording until the Chinese trim name and official configuration sheet are supplied. The purchasing document should identify 950 km RWD, VIN, battery, motor, equipment and production date.
Choose 950 RWD for maximum stated range and single-motor simplicity. Choose 850 AWD for traction and performance. Do not pay for AWD if the route is paved and the lost range matters more.
